 | Introduction |  | |  | Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) is an industrial organization whose existence was anticipated by the establishment law of Iran's Industries and Mines Ministry (passed in December 1999 by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Parliament through an article and its provision).
The organization aims to survey, prepare for and undertake construction, development, equipment and renovation projects in metallurgy production industries, mining and exploitation of minerals, as well as operating discovery plans.
IMIDRO was set up under the establishment law of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) whose by-law and regulations were ratified in July 1967. It comprises eight major companies and some 55 operational subsidiaries active in steel, aluminum, copper, cement, and mineral exploitation.
Along with the organization's anticipated missions and concerning legal content of the Third Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, IMIDRO is considered as a specialized umbrella company and casts an advanced supervisory look upon operational subsidiaries, and plans their privatization process.
In order to guarantee materialization of targets, the staffs of the organization have to enjoy higher educations and sufficient relevant experience, as urged by employment regulations of Manpower Employment Organization. |
